| 이 자료는 중소기업들이 수출·입 대상국의 제조물책임제도를 이해하고 대응하는데 도움을 주기 위해 중소기업청이 제작한 것이다. 2003년 4월 현재 제조물책임제도를 시행하고 있는 나라는 우리나라를 포함해 37개국으로 파악되고 있으며 외국의 법률원문 입수기간등을 고려하여 상권과 하권으로 나누어 발행하게 되었다. 이 책에 수록된 외국의 제조물책임법은 한국외국어대학교 통역 번역센터를 통해 번역을 하고 법률전문가의 감수를 거쳤다. 그러나 원문의 해석과 이해에 견해차이가 있을 수 있으므로 주요내용은 「부록편」에 수록된 외국법률의 원문을 동시에 참고하면 도입이 될 것이다.
